Saura art workshop held for students in Kalahandi on World Art Day

A cultural event was organised at the Eklavya Model Residential School in Thuamul Rampur, Kalahandi district, on the occasion of World Art Day.
Over 120 students participated in a hands-on workshop on Saura art, a tribal art form of Odisha. The session was conducted by faculty members from the Kalahandi College of Art and Research.
The event aimed to introduce students to traditional art forms and encourage creative expression. It was organised by Vedanta’s Sijimali Bauxite project team.
School headmaster Satya Prakash Satya said the initiative helped students engage with local culture. Vedanta officials said such activities are part of their community outreach in the region.
