Cricket jacks refund Mumbais Faith with an everyday performance in IPL Win

Bengaluru, April 18 (Reuters)-The All-Rounder Will Jacks rewarded Mumbai Indians for the faith they showed in him, despite a slim game with bat and ball by helping them with a four-wicket victory over the struggling Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday in the Indian Premier League. Jacks came to the Wankhets Stadium in the match and took just one wicket and scored a joint 55 runs in five games, but showed his value 2-14 of three overs and a 26-ball 36 against Hyderabad. He removed the dangerous left-handed Travis-head and Ishan Kishan to limit Hyderabad to a modest 162-5, before crawling on a wicket in Mumbai’s chase where fluent shot was challenging. “I knew I was going to play a role, they had three left hands in the top order and we knew the wicket would get some help. I was prepared for it,” Jacks told reporters. “Obviously, I don’t expect to take more wickets than some of the quality bowlers we have, but I’m very happy with that.” Mumbai captain Hardik Pandya said the all-rounder in England was a big asset to his team, which is seventh after winning their third win in seven games. “That’s the beauty of him. If he has three facets, he can be a gunfire, he can bowl those important overs, and in his batting he has so much explosive,” Pandya said. “That’s why he’s part of the team. We support him and I am excited that it came for him. ‘ Mumbai hosts five times champions Chennai Super Kings Sunday.
