The 2015-16 Buyter Critics Circle Awards, which recognize the performance in Broadway and off-Broadway, will be revealed at about 12:01 p.m.

Brian d’Arcy James (Something rotten!and Jennifer Simard (Disaster!) The nominees announced on April 19 at the New York Algonquin Hotel. She loves me and American psycho Head the list with eight nominations each. The 66th annual awards are awarded in 25 categories, which added a new one this year: Outstanding video/projection design.

Only new elements of Hamilton, disaster! and Screen, What was eligible in their incarnations in the off-broadway in 2015 was considered for 2016 nominations. Due to the late opening date, Shuffle together will be eligible in the 2016-17 season.

The awards will be awarded at the OCC’s annual Gala Awards dinner in Sardi’s Restaurant on May 26.

The Buyter Critics Circle is the organization of writers who cover the New York Theater for newspapers outside the city, national publications and other media outside Broadway that represent more than 90 newspapers, magazines, radio and television stations, websites and theater publications in America and abroad. The nominations of the outer critics circle are the first major Broadway/Off-Broadway Award of the New York Theater season.
