SHRAVAVAN SHRUTI PROGRAM STARTED IN PATNA, NEW HOPE FOR SILENT CHILDREN - SRAVANS SHRUTI PATNA TRANSFORMING LIVES WITH HEARING PROGRAM

The SHRAVAVAVIE SHUTI program started in Patna. Minister Mangal Pandey said this scheme is now a movement that has helped many children listen. Suharsha Bhagat, director of the State Health Committee, and additional secretary Vaibhav Chaudhary also attended the program. The minister said Tyagarajan Ji (now DM of Patna) started the Shravan Shruti program while he was the Gaya District Magistrate. It was appreciated worldwide. It was selected for the national summit on best practices. The scheme has now been implemented at the state level and is recommended to include it in national policy. The plan was for children who could not hear about birth or childhood. Many schemes of the government have been added. This model can be adopted across the country. Under this scheme, 4.25 lakh children were tested in 2,659 Anganwadi centers. Of these, 1.739 children were tested. 70 children received cochlear implants. 1,769 children received hearing aid. 1,839 children, who couldn’t even speak a word earlier, are now talking to the help of speech therapy. The District Magistrate informed that this scheme was being started in the Patna district today. After a meeting two months ago, the program was launched in two blocks as pilot project – Danapur and Phulari Sharif. This scheme will provide proper help to deaf and dumb children. He instructed to raise awareness for the performance of newborns.
