Mobile Connect To install high security number plates are obstructed, April 15 is dead line
Due to the absence of mobile number while installing High Security Number Plate (HSRP), the owners of vehicles must make rounds of RTO office. Keeping that in mind, additional counters are set up in all district transport offices. As they join, their cellphone numbers are updated. Department of Transport officials said the vehicle owners were constantly applying to have HSRP installed, in light of the April 15 deadline. Two separate counters were opened at Collectorate, Ravanabhatta and City Center Transport Services Center at Pandri to connect mobile numbers in Raipur. According to the notice issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and highways, it is mandatory to install HSNP in older vehicles from 1 April 2019 among the central motor vehicles. Nadrad of 8 Lakh old vehicles is currently registered with the transport department across the state. It contains two wheelers, three wheelers, cargo and other vehicles. This includes about 5 million vehicles manufactured before 2019. Department of Transport officials say that about eight lakh vehicles are absent from roads as they are dilapidated and over 20 years old. Share this story -tags
