Pune: The Lonavala Municipal Council announced a two-day holiday for all schools on Wednesday, August 20 and Thursday, August 21, after heavy rain in the region. According to a report by Pune Pulse, the order of Lonava Municipal Corporation applies to all primary, secondary and higher secondary schools in each management and medium of education within the council boundaries. Officials said the step was taken as a precaution to ensure the safety of students, taking into account the constant heavy rain in Lonavala and surrounding areas.
