13 people dead due to lightning in four districts bihar, cm nitish kumar announced grace money
In an official statement on Wednesday, at least thirteen people were killed due to lightning in four districts Bihar. According to the main minister’s office (CMO), five people died in Begusarai, four in Darbhanga, three in Madhubani and one in Samastipur. The statement said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed deeply condolences to the death of 13 people and announced an ex-gratia amount of four Lakh calls to the families of the deceased. The chief minister called on the people to be very careful during the bad weather. CM said: “To protect yourself from electricity in the event of bad weather, follow the proposals issued by the disaster management department from time to time. Stay indoors during bad weather and be safe.” According to the Bihar Economic Survey (2024-25) report presented during the February budget session, 275 deaths were recorded in the state in the year 2023 due to electricity or thunderstorms. Bihar Weather Update Wednesday suddenly turned the weather in Bihar. The Bihar Meteorological Department immediately issued a warning and placed 70 blocks, including the capital Patna, on Yellow Alert. According to the latest update, strong wind and lightning is expected to fall into these areas within the next three hours at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour. The authorities have urged the people to be vigilant and take the necessary security measures. The IMD has issued a yellow warning for many blocks due to heavy rain, lightning and thunderstorms with strong winds and storms. The affected blocks include: Solar Bazaar, Muriganj, Madhepura, SeventyCia, Ghailad, Sinhawar, Banmanhi, Kumarakhand, Bharagama, Shankarpur, Gamharia, Supaul, Triviganj, Pipra, Kishanpur, Ghogardiha, Pratapanj, Pratapanj, Chhatapur, Raghopur, Sarayadh Bhapatia, Nirmali, Nirmali, Nirmali and Basadapur.
