Saurabh Bhardwaj ordered action in the case of sexual harassment at Delhi Hospital
New -delhi, December 24 (IANS). Delhi Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj asked the general secretary to ensure strict action by the general secretary following an incident of sexual harassment at Burari Hospital. He also ordered an immediate formation of the Investigation Committee chaired by Secretary Health over an incident related to sexual harassment of outsourced employees at Burari Hospital. In his letter to the general secretary, Bhardwaj said social media learned that some unfortunate incidents were revealed about the dignity of women at the Burari Hospital in Delhi and sexual harassment of outsourced staff. The minister said in the letter that a fir was filed in a police station on December 19. However, it seems that Delhi police were soft against the accused, who have a lot of resentment on social media. The minister said: “Such incidents cannot be tolerated in any situation. You are being instructed to ensure that Delhi police are strictly done against the culprits.” He further said that he also learned that the services of accused supervisors or managers had ended by the outsourcing firm. “However, strict action against the company must also be assured if convicted,” he said. Bhardwaj said: “An investigative committee must be put together immediately, which must provide the health secretary within 24 hours and submit an initial report, while the final report must be filed within a week.
