Share Market Today: Indian Stock Market Matters-The Sensex and the Nifty 50-extended profits at the sixth consecutive session on Tuesday, April 22. However, poor global clues closed the profits. The Sensex ended the day at 79,595.59, 187 points, or 0.24 percent, while the Nifty 50 rose on 24.167.25, 42 points, or 0.17 percent. The Indian stock market ended higher, even if major global counterparts in Europe and Asia traded lower, after US President Donald Trump’s criticism of Federal Reserve chairman Jerome Powell expressed concern over the independence of the Fed and brought uncertainty over the economic prospects of the country. The struggle between Trump and Fed chairman brought the US dollar to the lowest in three years, while US Treasury yields moved higher amid concerns that Trump could replace Powell with someone who would lower interest rates and ignore the risks of inflation.
