Government will give Rs 4 crore and plot to Vinesh Phogat

The government agreed to give a cash price of Rs 4 crore to the wrestler Vinesh Phogat and a piece of Haryana Urban Development Authority (HSVP). However, in a letter sent to Phogat, he was mentioned that he would choose one of the three benefits for the Olympic silver medal winners, including cash prizes, plots and group A work. Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam said with the Tribune: “We asked him to give him an option on cash prizes, plots and work. He expressed the desire of cash and land. We pushed the file forward to give both. The cm will approve the file.” According to the state sports policy, the Olympic Silver Medalist receives a cash prize of Rs 4 crore, Group A outstanding player (OSP) work and honorary award from HSVP plot. The Council of Ministers decided on March 25 that since the Chief Minister Phogat’s performance in the Paris Olympics in Paris 2024 to consider the Olympic silver medalist equal to X to consider the X, he would be considered a special case.
