The government will set up 8 lakh solar -power plants by March 2027, target of one crore -estale

Lucknow, April 20 (IANS). Under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana, the Uttar Pradesh government set a target by March 2027 to draw up a total of 8 Lakh solar -powered roof plants in the state. Under the current financial year, 22 thousand are installed and an average of 300 installations in each district. The government has set targets on district time, Discomle, municipal corporation and municipality for this. Monitoring and reviewing the scheme is done by connecting it to the Dashboard of the Chief Minister, so that real -time monitoring of progress can be made possible. In Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Surya works with Upnda commitment to bring the scheme door to door. Below are the sellers listed by contacting 10.73 Lakh applications received by March 2025 on the portal and the installation process moves quickly. So far, more than 1 lakh solar roof plants have been erected in the state. Currently, about 11 thousand installations are done each month and more than 500 installations per day. Under the scheme, more than 2.5 thousand sellers were improved by April 2025, while approximately 1800 sellers also offered training. Sellers also gain the benefit of the loan and credit guarantee scheme by banks so that their economic capacity can be strengthened. Sellers are trained in a phased way in collaboration with the National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Enterprises, Ministry of Skills Development, the Government of India and Upneda. It is noteworthy that the government of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a big step to promote green energy throughout the state, with the fact that this scheme began in February 2024.
