Justice Bhushan Ramakrishna Gavai will be the next CJI of the country, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, gave information

New -Delhi, April 29 (IANS). Justice Bhushan Ramakrishna Gavai will be the next chief justice of the country. This information was given by the Minister of Constitutional Law and Justice and the Parliament Affairs, Arjun Ram Meghwal, on social media platform X. Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said in his X -mail: “The use of the powers by the Constitution of India, Justice Bhushan Ramakrishna Gavai, the Supreme Court of India would be as the next of the Supreme Court. 2025 to be appointed. ” Justice Gawai’s term is six months ten days and will retire on November 23, 2025. He will be the second chief justice of Dalit. Before Him, justice K. Yes. Balakrishnan holds this position. According to the information given on the Supreme Court website, Judge Bhushan Ramakrishna Gavai was born on November 24, 1960 in Amravati, Maharashtra. He entered the world of advocacy on March 16, 1985 and initially the late King Sk Bhonsle, who was a former lawyer and judge of the Supreme Court, worked with him. From 1987 to 1990, he practiced independently in the Bombay High Court and subsequently advocated mainly various cases before the Nagpur Bank. Constitutional and administrative laws were their most important areas. He was a permanent attorney at Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Amravati Municipal Corporation and Amravati University. In addition, he continued to appear in court regularly for autonomous bodies such as Sicom, DCVL and City Councils of the Vidarbha region. From August 1992 to July 1993, he was appointed Assistant State Prosecutor and Additional Prosecutor in Nagpur Peeth. Later, on January 17, 2000, he was appointed a government lawyer and public prosecutor. On November 14, 2003, he became an additional judge of the Bombay High Court and was promoted as a permanent judge on November 12, 2005. He served a variety of issues in Nagpur, Aurangabad and Panaji, along with Mumbai’s head bank. On May 24, 2019, he was appointed judge of the Supreme Court of India. In his six -year term, Justice Gawai was part of about 700 banks, in which he worked on matters related to Constitution, administrative, civil, criminal, commercial, environment and education. He made many important decisions, including many constitutional historical decisions, related to the fundamental rights and human rights of citizens. Justice Gawai represented India at international conferences in cities such as Ulaanbatar (Mongolia), New York (America), Cardiff (UK) and Nairobi (Kenya). He also presented lectures on constitutional and environmental subjects in various prestigious institutions, including Columbia University and Harvard University.
