Rantans against Draisaitl and McDavid is one of the games to watch the NHLS conference final
After a day without play -off, the chase for the Stanley Cup resumed Tuesday night with the start of the conference final – and the Star Power is still in the cards. Leon Draisaitl is the betting rush to win the Conn Smythe trophy as a play -off match MVP after he and Connor McDavid received defending Western Conference Champion Edmonton through two series against tough opponents. This is also partly the case because the Oilers Cup favorite is according to BETMGM Sportsbook. Mikko Rantans lead all scorers over the weekend with 19 points in 13 games to get the Dallas Stars in a West Final against the Oilers who hope they hope the other way will go. “They have one of the best players of all time in Mikko Rantans in their series, and it could be a factor that allows them to make the narrative differ this year and beat the Oilers,” said retired defender and three-time cup champion, Daneyko said. “He’s a money player. He is great, he is strong, he is built for this. ‘ Edmonton’s antidote to the Rantans and the Finns – Mikael Granlund, Roope Hintz, Esa Lindell and Healthy Miro Heiskanen – is the combination of McDavid and Draisaitl. They have 17 and 16 points respectively, and will be the Stars’ focal point in the series that starts in Dallas on Wednesday night. “They are another team this year,” Stars coach Peter Deboer said. “They are a deeper team this year than they were last year. You see that they get from many other places other than McDavid and Draisaitl, and they still have that element every night. ” Yes, 16 different skaters have scored a goal for the Oilers, but they will probably just as far as no. 97 and 29 go. McDavid was a play -off match a year ago when they forced Game 7 in Florida and just fell short of the championship, and he put his teammates on his back to return to the final. It took the Panthers seven matches to get through the Toronto Maple Leafs in the second round, but they again have the appearance of a champion in the Eastern final against Carolina. Betmgm chose Florida to reach a third consecutive cup final. “Nothing makes them out: They don’t care where they play, who they play,” Daneyko said. “It’s a dangerous animal. It is a confident bunch and rightly. ‘ Brad Marchand and Seth Jones played a big role in introducing the Leafs in Game 7 Sunday night. The Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky also looks a year after he reconnected the Panthers to the first title in Franchise History. The goal shooting match in the West can determine the series. A year ago, Jake Oeteter was not at his best for the Stars in the conference final, and he was actually surpassed by Stuart Skinner, who earlier lost this play -off match as the Oilers toe. An injury to backup Calvin Pickard put Skinner back against Vegas the last round. All he has done since then stops 67 of the 71 shots he faced, with back-to-back exclusions to close the series. “He’s as tough as any goalkeeper with the way he jumps back,” Daneyko said. ‘Oeteter is the more constant for Dallas and one of the best goals in the league, so many people think you have a bit of lead. But Skinner rises to the opportunity. ‘ Oetter allowed 12 goals on 170 shots over six games in the second round against Winnipeg, including only two in the third period. The biggest reason to believe that the Hurricanes can beat the Panthers this time after being swept by them two years ago is Carolina’s topline of Andrei Svechnikov, Sebastian Aho and Seth Jarvis. Svechnikov has eight goals, one of Rantanen, for most in the playoffs, including the Rewker in Game 5 of the second round against Washington. Coach Rod Brind’amour said they were waiting for this version of Svechnikov, and the 2018 No. 2 choice came to its own at the age of 25. “He was just wonderful, there’s no doubt about it,” Captain Jordan Steel said. “He was shooting the puck every night and being physical and just being difficult to play against, and is the playoff we know. It’s great to see the puck enter him. He will continue to lead our group. ‘ ___ AP Sports writer Stephen Hawkins in Dallas contributed to this report. ___
