Ranchi: 7600 Homes followed on complaints of power theft, repair of Rs 196.44 Lakh - JBVNL -Klop Hunting Uncovered Electricity Theft in Ranchi

State Bureau, Ranchi. Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (JBVNL) held a special Raid campaign across the state on August 19 and 20 to stop the theft in power. A total of 7600 complexes were investigated in this two -day attack, in which power theft was confirmed in 1188 cases. The corporation assessed the revenue of Rs 196.44 Lakh. This campaign by Jharkhand Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited is an important step towards theft of electricity. Such campaigns may be more powerful in the future with public cooperation. The management has appealed that public participation can make the campaign more effective. The scope of the attacks includes: Ranchi, Gumla, Jamshedpur, Chaibasa, Dhanbad, Bokaro (Chas), Daltonganj, Garhwa, Dumka, Sahibganj, Giridih, Doghar, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh and Koderm Circle. Maximum Action Ranchi Circle: 131 cases in 1048 attacks, assessment of Rs 19.43 Lakh. Jamshedpur: 81 cases in 743 attacks, assessment of Rs 23,39 Lakh.
