PWD engineer in Baran arrested red with a bribe of 5 lakh, demanded instead of passing the bill

The team of Anti -Corruption Bureau Kota, while taking big steps in the Baran district, arrested an executive engineer of the Red hand of the public works and took bribes of five Lakh calls. This entire bribery entered into room number 107 of Circuit House. After this, the ACB team caught the executive engineer on the spot and recovered the bribe. The accused executive engineer demanded a bribe in exchange for the judgment of the bill. Additional Superintendent of Kota ACB Vijay Swarnakar police said the complainant had filed a complaint in this regard, saying that the complainant had received a contract for the construction work of crores of rupees in the Baran district, including road rating and bridge building. Instead of paying outstanding bills related to this construction, the executive engineer of the Department of Public Works, Ajay Singh, sought a bribe of Rs 20 Lakh. According to the information, the accused executive engineer is originally from Uttar Pradesh and has a home in Kota. In such a situation, a team also reached the home of the accused and started a search operation. This action of ACB continued until late at night. Let’s tell you that this is the first case to look for such a big bribe in the Baran district. Earlier, the Baran District Collector was also caught in a bribery case, in which the then IAS officer Indra Singh Rao was arrested in 2020 by his Prime Minister Mahavir Prasad in a bribery case of Rs 1 Lakh 40 thousand.
