According to police, 6 people involved in this fraud were arrested, including 2 women. The arrested accused was identified as Rahul Kumar (Bihar), Anupam Kumar (Bihar), Dayanand Pandey (Nagpur), Sachin Singh (Agra), Vidushi Lohia (Gorakhpur) and Nikita Upadhyay (Jharkhand). In addition, another accused Sonu is still absolute. The arrested accused more than Rs 5 crore checks, laptops and 16 cell phones were seized. Police said the gang contacted students via social media and attracted them to get admission to medical or engineering colleges. The gang members contacted students via social media and made them part of their plans. Trained accused, police victims of more than 500 fraud said that all the members of this gang were trained. The gang leader Rahul Kumar and Anupam Kumar both obtained BSc and BBA degrees from Patna University, while other members were also BBA and BCom Pass. These people received a monthly salary of 40 to 50 thousand rupees. The accused told police that they had now cheated on more than 500 students. The case was registered by Noida police and further legal action is being taken.
