He said that the education anchor was started last year led by Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Sahib, which is becoming quite successful today. Vikramjit Singh Sahni said that under this initiative skills education centers are established in three major cities Punjab, Amritsar, Ludhiana and Patiala. The purpose of these centers is to provide jobs to youth so that they can reach the highlight of success in their lives. The member of the Rajya Sabha said this step of the education anchor will be more distributed in the cities where youth are experiencing problems, such as Jalandhar and other areas. Jobs for youth in Punjab are limited and many youths become the victim of drug addiction, which has become a serious case for the state. He fully supported the “War on Drugs” campaign launched by the governor, saying that he himself was ready to participate in this campaign. Sahni said that 4250 youths found work in the private sector last year and that their purpose this year is to increase it to 10,000. The youth can only find work through skills education, and they have introduced such courses by working with industries, which are prepared according to the needs of the local market. Vikramjit Singh Sahni said he adopted ten ITI settings, which worked with decades of old machines, and now the settings are equipped with new technology and equipment. In addition, he has introduced courses on artificial intelligence, hydroponics, fruits and vegetables and food storage, so that the youth can also acquire skills in emerging areas. Sahni has called on the youth to find jobs in the country with their skills instead of going abroad. He said that the youth should go abroad through legal routes and not illegal ways. He requested the government to offer them more jobs. -Ians PSM/Ekd shares this story -tags
