Prime Minister Modi claimed 'strict action' in the Varanasi Gang Rape case

On Friday (April 11, 2025), Prime Minister Narendra Modi instructed officials to act “strictly” in the incident of gang rape of a 19 -year -old woman in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi, where they arrived to introduce development projects. The statement issued by the UP government said: “With the arrival at the Varanasi airport, the prime minister immediately sought detailed information from the Commissioner of Police, Divisional Commissioner and District Magistrate about the recent incident of criminal rape in the city.
