Police protested against Shahzad bail accused of the attack on Saif, the next trial on April 9
Mumbai, April 5 (IANS). Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, who was accused in the case of the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, filed a petition for bail, but Mumbai police raised strongly. Police filed an answer to the petition and opposed the bail of the accused and demanded the court to reject it. Police said in court that accused Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad is a citizen in Bangladesh and lives illegally in India. If the accused is released on bail, he can run to Bangladesh and intervene in the investigation. On the bail of the accused, he can be expected to be involved in such serious crimes again. Police also said this crime is of a very serious nature and that strong and concrete evidence is available against the accused. Police urged the court to dismiss the bail’s accused so that it could not be imposed on the crime and that the case could be investigated properly. The next trial of the case will be held on April 9 when the court will make a final decision on bail. Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, who is accused of attacking the actor Saif with a knife, filed a petition in the Mumbai session on March 29. The accused said he was innocent and that a false case was registered against him. It is noteworthy that Saif was attacked in its Bandra house on the morning of January 16. The accused allegedly attacked his youngest son Jeh’s room and attacked him. The actor was injured in many places. Despite his injuries, Saif himself reached the hospital at his son Taimur. At present, the case is in the Bandra Magistrate’s Court, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Mumbai Sessions Court. Once police will file a charge sheet, the case will be transferred to the Sessions Court. However, the charge page has not yet been submitted. According to media reports, doctors removed a 2.5 knife from Saif’s wound.
