Premier Modi has Satna & Datia airports inaugurated: To boost regional connectivity in the country, Premier Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated two airports in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. By starting the newly developed Satna Airport and upgraded Datia Airport, the government aims to expand the benefits of air trip to the bundling and bag -helmet regions of the state under the Udan (Ude Desh Ka Aaam Naamkrik) scheme. The two airports connect the historic towns of Datia and Satna to the national aviation map. “Operationalization of satna and Data Airports is expected to produce significant economic and social benefits, provides improved connectivity, creates direct and indirect employment, and catalyzes the growth of related sectors such as hospitality, retail, education and health care,” the government said in a statement. It also has sustainable features such as 100% LED lighting, solar lights and treated water reuse for horticulture. About Datia Airport, upgraded Datia Airport was built at a cost of £ 60.63. The terminal building was spread over 768 square meters with the ability to handle passengers of 150 peak hours and an annual footfall of 2.5 lakh. With operational readiness for ATR-72 aircraft and future plans to accommodate A-320 aircraft, Datia Airport is a critical gate for pilgrims and tourists visiting the renowned Peetambara Panh and Datia Palace.
