Governor CV Anand Bose said that you all know that Jalpaiguri was hit by a storm yesterday. There is loss of life and property in it and houses have also been damaged. We are all concerned about the conditions of Jalpaiguri. There was a detailed discussion with members and secretary of my National Resources Management Authority. They have been requested to strengthen and supply material if needed.

Governor CV Anand Bose will go to Jalpaiguri

The governor said, ‘All agencies are working together and as we know the Chief Minister has also reached them. I will be there I will visit the area. I will interact with the officials concerned and understand the damage done to the people. Then whatever decision you have to take, we will take. We will give them relief. This is a very unfortunate incident. We will definitely see what the best can be done for those who are in hospitals. Every possible effort will be made. The country is ready, Bengal is ready.

Five people died

In Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, a cyclonic storm wreaked havoc. After this incident, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited Jalpaiguri. Here he met the victims at the Super Specialty Hospital. CM Banerjee said that many houses were damaged due to cyclonic storm and 5 people died, while two others are in critical condition.
