Should the photocopy pass by is the government launched new Aadhaar app

New -Delhi, April 8 (IANS). The center took an important step towards digital ease and secrecy, and introduced a new Aadhaar app. This app enables users to digitally verify and share their aadhair details. This will eliminate the need to carry Aadhaar card or submit photocopy. Union Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav officially launched the app in the national capital. The minister emphasizes the importance of digital innovation and describes the app as a step to make Aadhaar verification easier, fast and safer. Vaishnav said in a video message posted on social media platform X, “New Aadhaar -DAPP, Face ID verification via mobile app. No physical card, no photocopy.” He said the app gives users the right to share only the necessary data in safe digital ways. “Now only one typing, users can share the required data, giving them full control over their personal information,” he said. A special feature of the app is Face ID verification, which increases security and makes verification comfortable. Aadhaar verification can now be done by scanning only a QR code, exactly like UPI payment. The minister wrote on X, “Aadhaar verification has become as simple as paying UPI. Users can now digitally verify their Aadhaar details and share their privacy.” With this new system, people no longer have to hand over printed copies of their Aadhaar cards at hotels, shops, airports or any other verification point. He insisted: “It is not necessary to hand over the photocopy of Aadhaar during the hotel reception, shops or travel.” This app is currently in its beta test phase. It is designed with strong measures for privacy safety. This ensures that the base details cannot be used, editing or abuse. The information is shared safely and only with the consent of the user. Vaishnav, which describes Aadhaar as ‘Aadhaar’ (foundation) of various government initiatives, also emphasizes the role of AI and digital public infrastructure (DPI) in the formation of India’s digital future. He invited stakeholders to propose ways to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) with DPI to speed up further development, while privacy was placed in the center. -Ians PSK/CBT
