Infinix note 50x 5g overview: a budget animal with one brilliant error | Mint
Infinix recently launched its first phone of the year, the Note 50x, which is special for more than one reason. For the beginning, the phone solves one of the biggest problems (or at least on) one of the biggest problems users had about Infinix – the sluggish software experience – by giving a modern touch and flowing animations in the new XOS 15. The new budget telephone that starts at a price of £ 11,499 also has many promising features such as 5.500 Migtide Prosionor, 5.500mahbatery and mediate 7300, 45W fast loading. But does this phone actually transform all this promise into performance, or is it just an marketing gimmick by another to zealous brand? Well, I’ve been using the Note 50x for a few days and here’s my two pieces about how the phone performed in the real world. Inside the box: The green colored binfinix -note 50x opens, one is greeted by the device itself wrapped around a thin plastic cover, a sim ejector instrument, a 45W adapter, a USB type A -Type C -Cable, a VIP (probably for registration of guarantee), a few paperwork and the SIM. I received the 6 GB of RAM/128 GB storage variant of the phone for review in the Titanium Gray Color variant. There is also an enchanted Press and Seele breeze green color variants (vegan leather) if you prefer a more flashy choice. Design and connectivity: Class-leading at the back of Note 50x, you get a rectangular cameram module with curved edges and Infinix brand in vertical format at the bottom. Although both the back and frame of plastic were made, Infinix gave it a special mulch that gives the phone a more premium finish. In reality, the phone looks and feels so premium that when I handed it to a few people to experience it and tell them the price, most of them were shocked. So kudu to infinix for giving such good quality, even for a budget device. The volume rockers and the on / out -button -which also doubles as the fingerprint reader -can be found on the right, while the left side of the phone is reserved for the hybrid -card slot containing a slot for 2 SIM cards and a Micro SD card. The phone has support for 9,5g tires, 4G Volte, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and GPS. I got a 5G single on the device and could also make the phone calls with any problems. Like many other phones under £ 15,000 price segment, the Note 50x also has IP64 rating for water and dust resistance. The phone also has MIL-STD-810H military degree certification for durability, a feature we saw in the past with many Motorola phones in the middle distance. Performance: A major delivery The biggest disappointment with the Note 50x comes in the show section with the phone with a 6.67-inch HD+LCD panel with 120Hz update speed and 672 nits peak brightness. The effects of a low resolution panel are immediately visible if you compare it with other phones in the segment with a 1080p panel, as colors are rinsed and the flickering problem is immediately striking during low light scenarios. While the screen is still workable while using indoors, there is a real problem with visibility when using the phone during Bright Outdoors. The stereo speakers on the device provide sharp and clear sound for the price, but they do not get enough hard, which means you will be ideal to use a wireless headset or speaker to play music or watch movies. Processor: Solid performance for the price The note 50x is powered by Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate Processor, the first phone with this processor in India, claims Infinix. The reality, however, is that it is just another marketing problem by MediaAk to rename their own chips, just like the ‘energy’ insert that was at the Oppo Reno 12 Pro last year. However, the dimensity 7300 is not a bad processor, and it is a very capable processor priced on phones for more than £ 15,000, of which I have previously checked like the CMF Phone 1 and Lava Agni 3. I do have a problem with smartphone makers and chipmakers using different names for SOC, just to sell more devices. The short time aside, just like the other telephones I tested with the same processor, the Note 50x is a solid artist to open the web all day -to -day tasks like surfing on the web, different programs and even a little light play. I tried to play Call of Duty Mobile and BGMI on the phone, and although the game was playable at the highest settings, there were certainly some occasional frame drops that had to be noticed. One thing to note here is that Infinix claims that the Note 50x can drive BGMI at 90 FPS graphic settings, but that was not the case on my unit, as the phone only selected a maximum of HDR graphics with ‘Ultra HDR’ and ‘Extreme HDR’ options, leading to an upcoming coming soon. As far as benchmarks are concerned, the Note 50x gets an Antutu score of 6,23,056 on Antutu, which is about par of this slide set. On Geekbench 6, the Note 50x receives a single core score of 1004 and a multi-nuclear score of 2880. On 3D Mark’s extreme voltage test, the phone gets a best loop score of 858 and a lowest loop score of 99.5%stability. It is not known that this slide set shows any abnormal heating problems, and the Note 50x is no different if the phone gets a little warm during long playing sessions, but does not reach the level of too hot to handle. Software: One of the biggest changes Infinix brought with the Note 50x was the acceptance of new XOS 15 onion based on Android 15. The changes are immediately visible if you start using the phone with the onion that feels very funny than earlier Infinix phones and the animations that look much more refined. XOS 15 brings together many new functions, while retaining some very useful elements of its predecessor. For example, Dynamic Island is still here (who calls Infinix Dynamic Bar), along with social assistant (allow call recording and other options during WhatsApp calls) and Halo lighting (the LED light that turns on during loading, game and new notifications). The onion also remains ad -free with very few programs installed on the first boat, including Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and some other third -party apps. The good news is that Infinix users now enable to choose multiple apps and pull them together or remove them, if necessary. There are some new icon packs and the notice panel can also get different color palettes, but there is no option to fit the colors of the wallpaper yet, but like Samsung’s One UI 7. There was a lot of talk in the run -up to the launch of this device, but most of these features were not very useful for me, did not work. The photos app on the XOS 15 is called Ai Gallery and there is not even a support for Ai Eraser to remove the unwanted objects in the background. Infinix also continued to use the same shapes and designs for most elements in the onion, which prevents the onion from getting a complete modern turn. There are some good features in the gallery app, including support for copying text directly from the images and resurrection of topics, which are both likely to be ‘inspired’ of the oxygen industry system (a handy function, nevertheless). In general, the new XOS 15 is a mixed bag for me with a clear improvement in fluidity and app animations, but the onion needs further overhaul to clean the junk and give it a more refined look. Camera and Battery: Par for the course The 50 MP primary shooter on the Note 50x delivers decent enough shots for the price in daylight with the signature we saw in Infinix phones in the past. However, details are under low light and the end result is not very satisfying. The 8MP selfie produces surprisingly good color production and a sharp focus, but the resulting images have so often turned out, even in good lighting conditions. In general, I would say that the cameras are nothing out of the oridnary on this smartphone; They can get the click well, but keep your expectations in check. The 5,500 mah battery offers decent backup and can easily keep you a full day of use, even with 5g turned on. If it gives you up, the 45W charger given in the box can upload the battery within about an hour. Progress: At an effective price of £ 10,499 (with banking offers), the Infinix Note 50x is definitely one of the strongest contenders you can find with an impressive design and building quality, a large 5,500 mah battery, a powerful processor for his segment and clean advertising free software experience. The Note 50x is perhaps the best option you can buy at this price if you can do with an HD+ show and subpar speakers.
