Uttarakhand: General Secretary Anand Bardhan reviewed Kedarnath-Badrinath's development works

Kedarnath/Badrinath, April 26 (IANS). Uttarakhand general secretary Anand Bardhan checked the travel arrangements in Kedarnath and Badrinath on Saturday. He examined the continued development works and constructions on these religious Dhams. The general secretary reached Kedarnath Dham and made an earthly inspection of the preparations and arrangements for the upcoming Chardham Yatra. He first checked the continued reconstruction works in Kedarnath and gave the necessary guidelines to the officials concerned. He told of the Bailey bridge built on the Mandakini and Saraswati rivers that the work of this bridge is completed, which will give more comfort and access to passengers. He investigated the rain shelters on the faith path, saying that LED signs should be installed for the ease of passengers in these rain shelters, so that passengers can get clear information on which places, medical assistance and other essential facilities are available. He instructed Garhwal Mandal Development Corporation (GMVM) officials to complete the restoration of all the cottages on the travel route in time and secure their cleanliness system. All the arrangements must be completed on time and smoothly to ensure that any passenger is not uncomfortable during the trip. He checked crowd management, drinking water, medicine, recreation and sanitation in sites such as Rudra Point and Ghoda Path. District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar informed the general secretary that all the departments associated with Kedarnath Yatra were working with mutual coordination. The remaining works will also be completed before the journey begins. The district magistrate said: “Pedestrian routes, accommodation, sanitation, health services, drinking water, power supply, communication facility and emergency system have been corrected. For the ease of pilgrims, basic facilities are also assured at all stops for the ease of pilgrims.” Superintendent of police AKSHAY PRAHLAD CONTEMS said: “All the necessary arrangements were completed from the security point of view.
