Parvati Tirkey of Jharkhand has Hindi Sahitya Academy Youth Award for 'Phir Ugana' Poetry Collection
Ranchi, June 18 (IANS). Parvati Tirkey of Jharkhand was selected for her Hindi Poetry Collection ‘Phir Ugna’ for the Sahitya Akademi Youth Award of 2025. It was announced by the Academy on Wednesday. Parvati works as an assistant professor in the Hindi section at Ram Lakhan Singh Yadav College under the Tirkey Tirkey Ranchi University, of the Kudukh tribal community in Jharkhand. 29 -Year -Parvati Tirkey is originally from the Gumla district of Jharkhand. His early training was done at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Gumla. He then graduated and received postgraduate training in Hindi literature at Kashi Hindu University, Varanasi, and then received a Phid degree on the topic of ‘Kudukh Adivasi Song: Jeevan Raga and Jeevan Sangarsh’ from the Hindi Department there. ‘Dan Ugna’ is the first poetry of Parvati Tirkey published in 2023 of Radhakrishna Prakashan. Dr. Parvati Tirkey was earlier received the ‘Vishnu Khare Yuva Kavita Samman’ 2025. This honor was given for his better contribution in the field of poetry. Dr Parvati Tirkey engraved the tribal life in this book. Parvati Tirkey told Ians: “I tried to communicate through poems. I am glad that this dialogue was respected. Through dialogue there is a relationship of coordination and trust between different public cultures. This is the writing of this struggle, it is respected, so trust has increased.” Parvati’s special interest is in poems and folk. Hindi magazines and web-Magazines published.
