Pansda Metro: Transparency and disclosure of information to build public trust

Jakarta – Pansda Metro Jaya held a socialization of the Public Information Explanation Act (KIP). This activity was attended by officials of the Working Unit for Information and Documentation Management (PPID) of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police and head of the switch of the RANGRITA. This activity took place on Thursday (8/14/2025) in the M2C room on the second floor of the Metro Jaya Bidhumas building. In this socialization, the head of the Metro Jaya Regional Police Commissioner Ary Syam Indradi and chairman of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Information Commission Harry Ara Hutabarat became a guest speaker. “The disclosure of information is not only a legitimate obligation, but also the need to build public trust. With transparency, national police can offer accountable services, while the community participation in support of police tasks is increased,” Ade Ary said. Ade Ary said that every PPID Satker and the ranks of the ranks should update the list of public information regularly, at least every six months. In addition, strengthening digital facilities, integration on social media and sustainable training for PPID human resources must be improved. From this activity, the participants gained an extensive understanding of the implementation of the KIP Act. Not only that, the participants also understood the importance of coordination between PPIDs in Jakarta Metropolitan police. The results of socialization also highlight the optimization of the use of digital technology and e-monkey systems to encourage an increase in the ranking of information disclosure of informative categories.
