Pakistan is still safe for terrorists: Ministry of Foreign Affairs

New -Delhi, May 19 (IANS). Foreign Minister Vikram Egypt on Monday made serious allegations before Pakistan’s involvement in terrorism before the Standing Committee of Parliament for Foreign Affairs. According to sources, he told the committee that the Pahalgam terror attack was planned and operated from all over the border and that the terrorists were in direct contact with the brain sitting in Pakistan. The Foreign Minister said on the basis of concrete facts of inquiry that Pakistan remains a safe haven for terrorists. He said that terrorists nominated by the United Nations openly incite Pakistan land and violence against India. He spoke of a ‘clear and institutional alliance’ between Pakistan’s terrorist organizations, military intelligence agencies and some civil administrative institutions. Sources quoted the Egyptian and said, “These things are not only based on stories, but are associated with certain evidence.” He also strongly supported the sovereignty of India and rejected the role of any other country in matters related to Jammu and Kashmir. In response to the questions of the members, he made it clear that India’s retaliation ‘Operation Sindoor’ was completely traditional. He said that no Pakistan nuclear basis was targeted in this operation, nor did a core threat or indication of Pakistan.
