PAHALGAM -Terror attack: Discussion of Jaishankar and the British Foreign Minister, agreed on zero tolerance to terrorism
New -Delhi, April 27 (IANS). Foreign Minister Jaishankar spoke to his British counterpart, David Lammy, on Sunday. There was a discussion between the two about the Pahalgam terror attack. Jaishankar tweeted and informed, “today talked to British Foreign Minister David Lammy. The terrorist attack from across the border in Pahalgam underlined the importance of zero tolerance to terrorism.” Earlier, British Prime Minister Kir Stmper spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 25. The Foreign Ministry tweeted, “Britain’s Prime Minister Kir Stmper called Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed his deeply condolences about the innocent people who died in the horrific terrorist attack on Indian country. He strongly condemned this barbaric terrorist attack, saying that Britain was in this sad hour.” Pahalgam rapid attack led to sadness and resentment internationally. World leaders condemned the attack in one voice and called on India in the fight against terror. All the heads of the state criticized the attack and also discussed it over the phone with the Premier Modi. The terrorists fired on April 22 indiscriminately on people (mostly tourists) in the Basaron Valley in Pahalgam, a popular tourist destination in Jammu and Kashmir. At least 26 people were killed and several others were injured in the attack. The tension between India and Pakistan peaked after the Pahalgam attack. New -Delhi took very strict diplomatic and strategic action against Islamabad.
