New -Delhi, May 31 (IANS). The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted extensive search operations across the country in Pakistan -related spy task on Saturday. During this period, large scale searches were done in 15 places in eight states of the country. In the States Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Assam and Western Bengals, the premises of suspects were associated with Pakistan intelligence operators (PIOs). NIA teams seized various electronic devices and sensitive financial documents, other offensive materials during the search. Under the conspiracy of the Anti -India terror, they are investigated in depth for the clues of the detective racket run by the operatives in Pakistan. According to the NIA investigation, suspects targeted in Saturday’s search related to Pakistani henchmen and worked as a financial medium to perform spying activities in India. The NIA has registered a case of RC-12/2025/NIA/DLI following the arrest of an accused on May 20, while sharing sensitive information with PIOs since 2023. The accused received funds in India through different mediums in exchange for leaking classified information related to national security. The name of the accused is Motiram Jat, who worked as ASI of CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force). The NIA team filed a case in the same case in the spy task. Motiram was placed there before the Jat Pahalgam attack. At the same time, Asi Motiram was transferred from Pahalgam five days before the attack.
