The participants will first complete a 6-hour online workshop focused on Genai fundamentals, introduction to building agents, OPI API use training and the best practices for responsible AI development. This fundamental sprint ensures that all participants are well prepared to develop innovative and impactful AI solutions using Openai’s latest technologies. The Builddaton unfolds over three competitive stages: Phase 1: Screening Round-Post-Workshop, teams submit problem statements, project ideas and execution plans online. A panel of mentors assess submissions to shortlist the most promising entries. Phase 2: shortlisted regional finals teams participate in an intensive 48-hour-of-line building hon held over 25-30 voice colleges, with practical mentor support. Regional winners are announced following this phase. Phase 3: Grand Final – The Top -10-15 Teams of the Regional Final Thing in the Big Final and give their solutions directly for expert judges. Building with the best tools in AI participants will have access to the latest AI innovation, including GPT-4.1, GPT-4O, GPT-4O Audio, and GPT-4O real-time models, which support multimodal inputs such as text, image and sound. In addition, tools such as Langchain, Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate), MCPs and the Open Agents SDK. These instruments will empower students to build high-impact, multimodal, action-oriented genai applications. Practical mentoring and structured support will lead participants throughout the process. Widespread reach, divergent participation The builddhon aims to empower 25,000+ students in seven states – Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Delhi NCR. The big finals are presented in Hyderabad or Delhi. With the coverage of all major zones of India, the opportunity ensures nationwide representation and diversity. Evaluation criteria in all phases are evaluated in three phases. In the screening round, mentors will judge submissions based on problem relevance, ideas feasibility and the proposed use of open APIs. During the local final, judges on the ground will evaluate the prototypes for innovation, depth of open-end integration, social impact and viability of the business. Eventually, in the big final, an expert panel will judge the top teams with the same criteria, with a greater weight on the execution quality and the effectiveness of live pitch.
