One month Nutrition Campaign starts in Gopalganj in September, focus on malnourished children and pregnant women
In September, an extensive campaign against malnutrition in the entire district is launched, the purpose of ensuring that malnourished children receive proper nutrition and care. This month -long campaign arranged as part of the nutritional month will include many activities that target children, pregnant women and mothers breastfeeding. According to Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), activists and ANMs will work from door to door to identify malnourished children. This campaign is performed according to the weekly program: First Week: Plantation activities to build nutritional gardens on Anganwadi centers, schools, panchayats and other public countries. Second Week: Yoga session for children, adolescents and pregnant women to promote nutritional health. Third Week: Especially in high loving districts, distribution of nutritional sets with IEC materials to Anganwadi beneficiaries. Fourth week: Identification of malnourished and severely malnourished children, then distribution of nutritious food. After going from home to house, the height and weight of children will be checked for up to five years so that accurate assessment can be done. The ICDs emphasized that this campaign will also focus on raising dietary variety through veld -specific vultures, pulses, local seasonal vegetables and fruits for children, promoting pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers. A concept of concept notes and nutritional activities has been released, setting out the roles and responsibilities of different departments involved in this initiative.
