According to Muhaimin, the graves have been on the spot since 1890, so that it is likely that the heirs or families have moved to the house and no longer make pilgrimages regularly. “His family is likely to be far offspring. Because this grave is that we look down from 1890, there has already been buried here,” he said. Some land that has not been used by old owners is used for new funeral units, both for Muslims and Christians. But the area is now being controlled by hundreds of residents by building illegal settlements. “It happened a long time before I was on duty. But now we’re starting to control, so there are no new buildings,” he said. Control is still performed in phases so that the funeral land is not continued. Control started this month by coordinating the City Government at the Camat. “From early July we took steps with elements of government, Lurah, sub -district chief and other related parties,” he said. Residents living illegally were recorded to discuss with the East Jakarta City Government. The fate of hundreds of residents will later be decided by the mayor of East Jakarta Munjirin. Until now, residents are still occupying TPU land. “Whether they will be repatriated or arranged to their hometown, it will be discussed further by involving the housing office, social service, legal bureau and of course Satpol PP,” Muhaimin said. The reaction of the East Jakarta City Government of the East Jakarta -Stads government (Pemkot) will make arrangements in the Konineapple -tpu after hundreds of residents set up illegal buildings to live as a place of residence. The East Jakarta city government reminded not to violate the rules. “We together with the sub -district and Kelurahan are still distributing socialization to residents not to violate the rules,” the Department of Parks Dwi Ponangsera, head of the East Jakarta Parks and City Forest (Tamhut), said on Thursday (7/31). Sudin Tamhut East Jakarta coordinated with sub -districts and Kelurahan to socialize related to soil placement and TPU functions. The East Jakarta city government will arrange access to the TPU Kebon Nanas area to control activities in the cemetery. “Access inside and outside TPU must be well controlled. The purpose is that the activities conducted by residents do not violate the rules,” Dwi said. Data collection of residents living in the cemetery has been completed. DWI said that currently as many as 201 families or 717 people live in the TPU area, who must function as a public cemetery. The head of the Green Line and Funeral section of the East Jakarta Tamhut office said Widhi Adnyana Surya Pratita said the arrangement of this access would begin socializing to residents.
