‘Black Mirror’ Season 7 has fans Arguing About Bernies or Barnies Chicken – ryan

If you’ve watched the new season of Netflix‘ Black mirrorthen you already know that the second episode, “Bête noire,” is one that definitely hits home in this day and age where the mandela effect seems very real. It appears as if Creator Charlie Brooker and Company have taken things one step further by releasing different versions of the episode that not only gaslights its star, but the fans as well.

Focusing on Siena Kelly’s Maria, “Bête Noire” is about a Culinary Researcher who encounters Strange Things after an old classmate starting working at her office. That’s putting it mildly, as Maria’s reality seems to complete shift thanks to verity (Rosy Mcewen), as she remembers things one way, but they turn out to be different, slowly driving her insane. Things first start going downhill when the name of a chicken franchise is changed from Bernies to Barneys, or is it the other way around? Well, it depends on which version of the episode you saw on Netflix.

Back in 2013, the Oscar-Winning Marvel Star bought the rights to the acclaimed episode, written by Future ‘Succession’ Creator Jesse Armstrong.

That isnt the only change in “Bête Noire”

If the change in names was not enough to gaslight audiences, it appears as if even the dialogue in the episode shifts depending on which version you are watching. Some say that Maria started off Calling the fast food restaurant Bernies before it switched to barnies, and others report that their version has her going from Bernies to Barnies. How Crazy is that? “It’s giving me Bandernatch vibes, but without any control, “said user @hichappers.” This about to be the new blue and black vs white and gold dress, “added original poster @actualakio.

He’s not wrong, as fans in the reply are already arguing over which one was right, Barnies or Bernies? Even the x accounts of Netflix and Black mirror got in on the action, with Netflix posting “Bernies,” and Black mirror Responding, “Barnies.” It’s all quite Incredible, really, as user @iamgeographic says, “Amazing. They force injected a Mandela.”

Neither Brooker Nor Netflix have yet to comment on the two different versions of “Bête noire,” and it appears as which version fans sea is complete random. Thus far, season 7 of the acclaimed anthology series is getting rave reviews for taking the show back to its roots, and is certified fresh on rotten tomatoes with an 89% rating from critics.
