Odisha News: Supreme Court has reached the Supreme Court of transfer of 15 eligible teachers through MLA and MP

Two teachers from the Kalahandi district filed a petition in the Supreme Court on the recommendation of the transfer of teachers by the MLA and MP. The petition has disputed the government’s policy under which MLAs and MPs can recommend the transfer of 15 teachers. Two teachers in the Kalahandi district filed a case in the Supreme Court claiming that such policy of government influenced the issue of transfer of teachers. A Justice Dixit Krishna Shrypad division bank issued a notice to the state government after hearing two cases in this regard at the same time. The Supreme Court also issued an interim accommodation on the transfer of the requester teacher until the next date of trial. The next trial of the case is four weeks later. The Supreme Court accepted this order after hearing R Tripathi and other applications. During the hearing, the requester said the government decided that MLAs and MPs could recommend the transfer of 15 qualified teachers. The requester was influenced by such decisions of the government. The government does not have the power to make such policy decisions. Such a decision is not justified either. The director of secondary education and director of primary education was made aware of the decision on May 13 by a letter written by the joint secretary of school and public education department. The Supreme Court said that the filor was affected by such a letter by the order issued in relation to the transfer. It is striking that the government has announced that MPs and MLAs can recommend transfer of 15 qualified teachers from their constituencies. It has been said that the district level transfer committee will certainly the proposals submitted to the collector on the same day. On May 13, the Department of Public Education issued a letter in this regard to the director of primary education and secondary education. The letter states that the district level committee will take the necessary steps in this regard after the MLAs and MPs represent the transfer to the collector.
