Now you get a new SIM card from BSNL sitting at home know the full step-by-step process from ECYC to delivery

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has made an important step towards mobile connectivity easy and convenient for customers, and has launched a new service to pass through SIM cards. Now customers can order a new prepaid or after -paying SIM through the online portal sitting at home and they do not have to go to any store for this. With the launch of this service, BSNL has now joined the queue of private companies such as Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vodafone Idea that is already offered by SIM delivery. However, BSNL has not yet made it clear whether the facility will be free or not, while the services of private companies are usually available without any fee. How to let BSNL SIM chart sit at home? To utilize this facility, users must go to the special portal of BSNL. There they can choose to take a new cellphone number or gateway to transport the existing number to BSNL network. This will help BSNL add new customers and make it easier to switch to other network users. The process starts with a simple registration form filling, which includes PIN code, full name and an alternative cellphone number for KYC (know your customer). An OTP is then sent to an alternative number, confirming the request. After this, the required self-KYC process must be completed, only then the SIM is issued and sent to your address. Why was this change necessary for BSNL? BSNL is currently facing a decrease in the number of customers. According to Trai data from April, BSNL lost 2 million active customers and a total of 2 lakh users were reduced. The VLR (visitor location register) ratio was also only 61.4%, which is the lowest compared to any major telecommunications operator. It shows how many people are active on BSNL’s network. To overcome this crisis, BSNL has taken this step so that people in rural and urban areas can easily get new connections where BSNL’s stores are limited. Information and assistance related to this service can also be taken from the Customer Service Center. Although this BSNL initiative is a step taken in the right direction, its success will depend on how fast and the KYC process is completed in a quick and reliable way. BSNL will need to improve velocity and service quality compared to private companies, only then will create a strong hold in the telecommunications market. Share this story -tags
