Why did America return from Afghanistan after 20 years?
The trending Afghanistan was once filled with American tanks, fighter jets and foreign troops, but in 2021 the US had to return from there. Know why this? After 9/11 terror attacks in 2001, the US stepped down to Afghanistan and began “war on terror”. The purpose of America was to remove the Taliban from power and eliminate al-Qaeda so that it began military action. The US continued in Afghanistan for almost 20 years, but in the end it had to retreat and the Taliban came to power again. The talk between the US and the Taliban began in 2018, which was transferred by the Biden government and decided to return. On August 15, 2021, the US Army began its return from Afghanistan and captured the Taliban Kabul. About 6.384 American soldiers were killed and more than 2.41 Lakh people died in this 20 -year war. There were many reasons such as the Afghan government’s poor hold, internal corruption behind the return of America. In 2020, there was an agreement between the US and the Taliban at Doha in Qatar, which led to the way to return. The Taliban promised that it would not be sheltered al-Qaeda and other extremist organizations in its areas.
