Noida will be converted to a 'safe city' soon, with the government preparing a plan in six strategic stages

Another good news came for the residents of Noida. The Uttar Pradesh government announced on Wednesday that it quickly produces the implementation of the ‘Safe City’ project in Noida. According to the perspective of the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the new Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NEIDA) has begun comprehensive preparations to start the project in six strategic stages with a budget of Rs 208.47 crore. An important attraction of the project is the modernization of Noida’s Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC), which will serve as a central center for monitoring and coordination, the government said in a statement. It reads: “Once completed, the project will integrate all police stations, CCTV network and traffic management system across the city with ICCC.” The government said that “this system will also have an advanced public address system to broadcast emergency warnings in real time, which will significantly increase the safety and accountability of all citizens, especially women.” According to the detailed action plan, six important components are systematically applied to convert Noida into a ‘safe city’. These include the citywide communication network, an integrated command and control center, the development of the data center, a CCTV-based monitoring system, a wise traffic management system and a geographical information system (GIS). The government said “all these components with modern technology will be equipped and integrated into an integrated platform for uninterrupted city -wide monitoring and emergency response”. It is said that “this centralized system will serve as a one-stop solution to manage important events and to effectively address public safety problems”. As part of this initiative, the government said that a state -of -the -art data center will be drawn up within the ICCC. It is said that additional high -tech features under the ‘SAFE City’ project include facial identification techniques, digital forensic abilities and a modern public address network. The government said the project also contains the installation of cryptocurrency test equipment, panic warning system, visual show units, Bullet-PTZ (PAN-COM) camera and ANPR (automatic license plate recognition) camera.
