Nia filed charges against five more accused in 2022 Coimbatore Motor Bomb explosion

New -Delhi, April 17 (IANS). The National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed a charge sheet against five more accused on Thursday in the 2022 Coimbatore car bomb blast case. The suicide attacker died in the Isis -inspired attack. This is the fourth supplemental charge of NIA in this case. Sheikh Hidayatullah, Umar Farooq, Pavas Rahman, Sharan Mariyappan and Abu Hanifa have been accused of financeing terrorism and other activities in the charge sheet. With this charge magazine, a charge sheet has now been filed against a total of 17 accused in this case. The NIA has accused Sheikh Hidayatullah and Amir Umar Farooq in divisions related to terrorist financing. Both have been charged with other crimes. Investigation revealed that both had a false scam from the Covid vaccine certificate in 2021-22, and that explosives and other resources were collected from the amount collected, used in the car bomb. The scam was performed by Pavas Rahman and Sharan Mariyappan, while Abu Hanifa helped fund financing.
