Colonel attack case: Court rejects the bail pleading of the inspector, the wife of the colonel said threatening is still being received
Patiala, April 11 (IANS). On March 13, the Court of Patiala delivered a major verdict in the police assault case with the army Colonel Pushpinder Singh and his son in Patiala, Punjab. Sessions Court Judge Surinderpal Kaur rejected the bail pleader of inspector Runi Singh, the most important accused in the case, who has now hung the sword of arrest. The decision was described by the wife of Colonel Pushpinder, Jaswinder Kaur Bath, saying that from the beginning she had confidence in the legal system, which strengthened today’s decision. Jaswinder Kaur spoke to the media outside the court that the police themselves obeyed the assault in court, although he described it as “light assault”, but accepting a light assault is enough to prove his crime. He also told that after the incident there was a delay in the registration of the Fir and police deliberately received false statements from the Dhaba owner. He wrote a letter to the DGP demanding from all the accused from Patiala because they still receive threats. He said chief minister Bhagwant Mann promised him to get justice by calling him his daughter, but so far his OSD has not contacted him. Jaswinder was emotional and said that it is not only a struggle for his family, but also a struggle for the rights of the general public. He demanded that the case be investigated by the UT police or any fair agency, so that there was no possibility for any form of manipulation. At the same time, the Colonel family lawyer Harinder Pal Singh Verma said that the Bell application of inspector Runi Singh was rejected by the court. This petition was submitted to the anticipatory clock. The file submitted by the sitting was presented to the court and the court delivered the verdict after hearing both sides. He said the Supreme Court also ordered the investigation into the case to the UT police, which is clear that the role of Punjab police is being questioned. Let us know that some Punjab police staff in Patiala are accused on the night of March 13 of the army’s colonel Pushpinder Singh and his son Angad Singh wrong. After the incident, police registered a case against unknown people based on the statement of a person working at a Dhaba instead of taking up the colonel’s statement. -Ians PSM/CBT Share this story Tags
