The Andhra Pradesh cabinet approved to award 21.16 hectares of land to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Visakhapatnam for a price of the rental price of 99 paise. The technical major plans to invest £ 1,370 in the proposed land, IT Hill Number 3, to set up an IT campus that is expected to generate 12,000 jobs. “Cabinet approved the grant of 21.16 hectares of land to TCs at Visakhapatnam. It -Hill number 3 for the erection of an IT campus to generate 12,000 posts,” reports PTI, with reference to a statement. “This is our Sanand moment for the IT sector,” reports News Portal MoneyControl, referring to a government official. This development comes after the Minister of IT Nara Lokesh visited Mumbai in Mumbai in October 2024, and requested the car manufacturer to invest in the state. Other cabinet proposals also nodded the cabinet for a proposal from Mahamaya Industries Limited to expand its steel plant in Vizianagaram. It awarded 6.35 hectares at Nadimalem of Pattipadumandal in the Guntur district to Esic (Employee State Insurance Corporation). This land will be given either free of charge or at a nominal price to establish a 100-bed hospital and neighborhoods for employees. Nearly 30 hectares of land at is Raghavapuram in the Dwaraka Tirumala Mandal of the Eluru district is free of costs to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple. A proposal to establish industrial parks was approved with the award of 87.56 hectares at the Krishnapatnam village and 220.81 hectares at the Nelaturu village Muthukur Mandal in the Nellore district to the APIIC (Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation). The Cabinet agreed to improve proposals by the industries and trade division on April 9 to improve the finances and creditworthiness of the Department and the Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation (APMDC). The Cabinet has cleared to issue effects worth £ 9,000. A proposal to issue an approval letter for the lowest bid for the construction of the meeting building at a cost of £ 617 crore and the Supreme Court building at £ 786 was under several decisions approved by the Andhra Pradesh cabinet.
