NIA has filed a charge sheet against 17 people in Chhattisgarh CRPF Camp Attack Case
Raipur, June 14 (IANS). The National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed a charge sheet against 17 people on Friday in connection with the attacks on the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camps in the Bijapur district Chhattisgarh. Of the nominated people, 16 are coming, while one of the accused named Sodi Baman alias is in custody. The Central Investigation Agency said in a statement that several sections of the Indian Criminal Act, Arms Act, Explosives and Illegal Activities (Prevention) were imposed on the charge sheet offered before the Special Court of NIA in Jagdalpur. The accused includes two members of the Central Committee, two special regional or state committee members and the Battalion number 01, the hybrid of the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA), Telangana State Committee and Senior Kader of the Palmed Area Committee. The case is related to three CRPF installations that were newly installed Dharmavaram camps and close attacks at nearby camps in Pambagu and Pams on January 16, 2024. The attackers included 250 to 300 activists of the alleged CPI (Maoist), who used automatic weapons and Barrel Grenade in an attempt to be Rob poor and provided. 12 CRPF staff were injured in the attack on the Dharmavaram camp. On 9 February 2024, the NIA investigated the local police to his hand. According to the agency, the accused was part of a major conspiracy to wage war against the government of India. He was allegedly involved in establishing a false training facility to recruit youth, exploring targeted camps and mimicking the attack. The investigation also found that the accused gave speeches and also gave war training to the workers to prepare for the attack.
