Jakarta – Minister of Manpower Yassierli emphasized that the most important challenges of the world of Indonesian work today are not only related to unemployment or low labor skills, but rather the absence of inclusive and trust -based industrial relations. According to Yassierli, inequality in the employment sector, ranging from the dominance of informal workers, low social protection, to the lack of the role of trade unions, showing the need for fundamental reforms in industrial relations. “The working relationships in Indonesia are still working too often on distrust and conflict patterns. We need to turn into collaborative and strategic. It is no longer solving a matter of problems, but to build a future together,” Yassierli said in his statement on Thursday.
