Mustafabad -Building Crow: Death Toll is taking up to 11
New -Delhi, April 20 (IANS). The death toll in Mustafabad, Delhi, increased to 11. At the same time, three people injured in the accident in the hospital. The dead include seven members of the same family, including 60 -year -old -esthsin, his sons, two daughters -in -law and three grandchildren. The incident happened at about 3am on Saturday in D1 Gali in Dayalpur, where the four -story building collapsed, with 22 people buried in the rubble. Eight victims were discharged from the hospital after treatment. Officials began investigating the reasons for the building’s collapse. Initial investigation suspects that the accident occurred as a result of the poor foundation of the building. Local people claim that the foundation of the building was just four inches thick. However, accurate reasons will only be known after detailed investigation. Head of State Rekha Gupta expressed condolences to the accident and ensured strict action. CM Relha Gupta said in a post on social media platform X: “My heart is very sad because of the tragic incident of the building falling in Mustafabad. Investigation has been ordered and strict action will be done against the culprits. DDMA, NDRF, DFs and other agencies are constantly engaged in relief and rescue operations.” Deputy Speaker of the Delhi Meeting and Mla Mohan Singh Bisht also expressed his concern about the accident. He said it was undoubtedly a sad and very painful event, especially because the victims of the poor family were. The builder deceived them by ignoring the quality of construction, structural capacity and safety with the aim of making money. In this process, innocent people have lost their lives, which are really sad. As he visited the place, he said that I requested LG and MCD commissioner to take action against carefree officials. There are illegal buildings in Mustafabad and the incident has exposed deep -rooted corruption in departments such as MCD. Earlier, the additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East) confirmed Sandeep Lamba that four of the 14 people who were initially died later were succumbed to. He also said that 8-10 people were feared in the early stages of salvation.
