Maharashtra: Question for strict action against accused of Malad Pathanwadi violence

Mumbai, April 1 (IANS). The rhetoric among political parties strengthened after the violence on Gudi Padwa in Pathanwadi, Malad, Mumbai. 48 hours after the incident, the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) demanded strict action against the accused. BJP’s legislative councilor Rajhans Singh, former corporation Vinod Mishra and all party officials met the senior police inspector of the Kurar police station and called on strict action against the culprits of the incident. During the meeting, Vinod Mishra said that the police began identifying the culprits and that all the accused would be arrested soon. The top leaders of the party look at the matter and take full information on the matter. Rajhans Singh said the accused of this incident would not be spared anyway. He said police have been arrested so far and other accused are identified by CCTV cameras. Singh said party members provide information to the police, so that the accused can be strictly action. He said that BJP and Hindu organizations had put this effort, which spoiled the city’s atmosphere,. Singh appreciates the role of police in maintaining peace in Mumbai and said police will soon take strict action against the accused. BJP spokesman Rita Nilesh Singh said the police administration was investigating the matter and constantly working hard to punish the accused. Police have assured that everyone who is guilty will be strict. He made it clear that this is not a battle for a cupboards or province, but it is part of a political conspiracy.
