Madhya Pradesh: Women of Self -Help -Groups in Takeuch started a unique campaign on World Environment Day

Takeuch, June 5 (IANS). Continuous efforts are being made to empower the women of the country led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The livelihoods of women are promoted by groups of self -help in urban areas under the National Urban Livelihood Mission (zero). In this series, Women of Saheli Self-Help Group in the takeuch district of Madhya Pradesh has begun a unique effort to strengthen their existence, along with the protection of the environment. On the occasion of the World Environment Day, on June 5, the Government of India Initiative “Woman for Tree” was launched by Takuch Nagar Palika Parishad. The campaign runs from June 5 to August 31, in which women of self -help groups who are registered with zero are actively participating. MLA Dilip Singh Parihar, Municipality President Swati Gaurav Chopra, Chief Municipality Officer Jamnalal Patidar, chairman of Napa, councilors, environmental friends, social and volunteer organizations and self -help group today participated in the plant program held in Amrit Garden. Nodal in Charge of this campaign Abhilasha Chaurasia welcomed the public representatives, environmental lovers and women’s groups in the program. Swati Gaurav Chopra, president of the municipality, said this campaign realized the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of environmental protection and empowerment of women. Since 2014, Premier Modi has been working to save our heritage with developmental works, including environment. According to the ‘Woman for Tree’ campaign, a wide plantation is done from June 5 to June 31. In this, women of self -help groups will not only contribute to the protection of the environment, but also increase their livelihood by taking care of fruit trees. “She further said that fertile and medicinal plants such as mangoes, guava, jamun, lemon, lemon, amla, bell and bars in Amrit Garden were planted. There is a unique model of promoting confidence. Maya Kathwas, a member of the Saheli Self -Help group, said, “we say,” we associated with the municipality below zero. On World Environment Day, we planted fertile, shady and medicinal plants in the Amrit garden today. We will take care of these plants for two years and increase our income by selling their fruits.
