List of important events in Islam that took place in the month of Shawwal
Jakarta – Shawwal is the tenth month in the Hijri calendar, directly after the month of Ramadan. The moon was reminded of the Idulfitri holiday, namely on the 1st of Shawwal. In this month there are a series of important moments in the learning and history of Muslims. According to Sirah Nabawiah, there were at least 6 important events in the month of Shawwal. From the Uhud War, the Khandaq War, the Hunain War, the siege of the Thaif, the marriage of the Prophet ﷺ to Aisyah, to the birth and death of Imam Bukhari. 1. Uhud War Uhud War is the second big woman after the Badr War. It was told, this war took place in the 3rd year of Hirjiah’s 3rd year. The Khandaq War or Ahzab told in the month of the 5th year of Hijri. 3. Hunain War Hunain War took place in the 8th year of Hijri’s 8th year, according to some history. This battle takes place immediately after the conquest or Fathu Makkah and before the siege. The word Hunain was taken from the location of the war, namely the Hunain -Valley that became the liaison of the city of Mecca and Taif. 4. Thaif besieges the siege of the city in the 8th year of Hijri’s 8th year, directly after the fight in the Hunain Bee or the Hunain War. In this fight, as many as 12,000 Muslim troops were involved, consisting of 10,000 people from Medina and 2000 of Mecca. Meanwhile, the power of enemy forces has reached 20,000 staff. 5. Marriage of the Prophet ﷺ and Aisha The marriage between the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Aisyah Ra. took place in the month of the 2nd year of Hijri, after the Badr War. But according to some history, the marriage contract itself has been held before, about 620 AD (three years before Hijrah), while Aisyah began living in the same house with the Prophet ﷺ in the 2nd year of Hijri in Medina. 6. The birth and death of Imam Bukhari Muhammad bin Ismail al-Bukhari or known as Imam Bukhari is one of the greatest scholars in Islamic history. According to a number of historical records, he was born on Friday, 13 Shawwal 194 Hijri in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, and died on the night of Syawal to coincide with the Eid Alfitri evening. It was an important event in the month of Shawwal. In addition to being the month of Eid Al -Fitri celebration, Shawwal also recorded different historical moments, ranging from great battles, the marriage of the prophet ﷺ, to the birth and death of famous scholars.
