Bihar: Beneficiary of Premier Surya Ghar Yojana honored in Kishanganj
Kishanganj, June 19 (IANS). The district administration honored a beneficiary on Thursday who installed solar panels on the roofs of his homes under Prime Minister Surya Ghar Free Power Scheme in Kishanganj, Bihar. Together with the officials of the electricity department, district magistrate Vishal Raj arrived in the Rolbagh area in Ward 30 of the city to encourage and honor the beneficiary of Airhul Devi. The man of the beneficiary said that under the scheme a subsidy of 78 thousand rupees was received from the government. By installing solar panels, the electricity bill is relieved. Beneficiary ARHUL DEVI installed solar panels on the roof of her home under the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Yojana, making her electricity bill coming. The district magistrate reached her home and honored her husband Upendra Chaudhary. Upendra Chaudhary said that Prime Minister Suryaghar Yojana was unveiled in TV via news and that he had installed roof panels on the roof under this scheme. Santosh Chaudhary, son of Arhul Devi, said that in February, after spending three lakh calls, a five -kilowatt roof panel was installed on its roof. 78 thousand rupees subsidy was received by the government under the scheme. After the panel was installed, the electricity bill began to come from March and now the savings of five thousand rupees are saved per month. He called on the people to take advantage of this scheme. The district magistrate said two beneficiaries who were honored to the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Ghar Ghar Ghar Free Power scheme, which was launched on February 15, 2024. He said efforts are being made every month to supply free electricity to 300 units by installing more and more solar panels on the roof in the homes of the people of the Kishanganj district. The scheme is especially for families with low and moderate income. The government offers subsidy for this, such as 30 thousand rupees for a kilowatt system, 60 thousand rupees for two kW and 78 thousand rupees for up to three kW.
