Bhakta Charan Das has criticized the BJP government in Sambalpur, "'Promises are not fulfilled'
Sambalpur, June 1 (IANS). Former Union Minister and Congress President of Odisha, Bhakta Charan Das, reached Sambalpur on Sunday on a day -long visit. During this, the District Congress welcomed him strongly. Bhakta Charan Das strongly criticized Odisha’s BJP government and accused the BJP of failing to comply with the promises made by the BJP in the 2024 election. He said that the BJP promised Odisha’s people to provide 300 units of free electricity, but that there is no free electricity today and that people get electricity. Das claims that Odisha’s farmers do not get enough electricity or water, while electricity in districts such as Sambalpur and Jharsugada generates the power generation centers in the state. Nevertheless, the citizens here do not receive electricity supply. He took a digging at the BJP government and said that since the government has come to power, no election promise has been complied with to date. In addition, Bhakta Charan Das also criticized the subhadra scheme of the Odisha government, including women from the state Rs 10,000. He said that if it is seen in accordance, it is Rs 10,000 per woman per year, which is only 27 rupees every day. With this, a woman can’t even buy a day of food. Das also expressed deep concern about the increasing rape and gang rape cases in the state. He said that 65 thousand women disappeared into the state during the term of office of this government and that about 2 thousand women were tortured. Bhakta Charan Das, who talked about the farmers’ situation, said the state government announced Rs 300 of farmers on the sale of Paddy with Rs 300, which is completely unfair. He also claimed that the Odisha government failed to give work to the youth. Instead, the government is busy with private contractors, as recently seen during the establishment of Talcher Railway Line in Balangir. He said that, despite being an officer for land acquisition with the government, it was decided that the contractor should be hired, which is a symbol of private management. He said that the rule of private persons in the state and the government’s policy is not for the well -being of the people. He said that the BJP government does no concrete work for the people of the state. It has become a major obstacle in the development of the state. Das called on the Odisha government to focus on public issues and asked the congress part to give justice to the people. He also made it clear that the BJP government will be assured in the upcoming election and that Congress party will solve the real problems of the people of the state. -Ians PSK/DSC shares this story Tags
