A Shiv Sena leader led by the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, sent a written complaint to the branch of the Mumbai Economic Offenses (Eow) to investigate the money received by comedian Kamra. This complaint was filed through his video to check the money sources received from different countries. The complaint states that the money that Kunal Kamra gets from different countries through her video should be investigated. The Shiv Sena Shinde faction requested the Eow to investigate the matter. It is noteworthy that Kunal Kamra’s problems have recently increased about her controversial statement. Comedian made controversial remarks against Eknath Shinde. According to the information, Kamra moved to Tamil Nadu in 2021, except Mumbai and he has been living there ever since. On March 23, a video of his show called ‘Naya Bharat’ emerged, in which his statement created political upheaval in Maharashtra. Supporters of Shinde Faction broke out from this video and vandalized the studio where the video was shot. After this sabotage, 12 people, including Shiv Sena workers, were arrested. However, all of them later received bail from the court. After the controversy, Kunal Kamra said that whatever she said, she said in all her senses and is responsible for her words. It was his personal view and could not control anyone. He also criticized that his studio was attacked. After the statement from Kunal, Eknath Shinde of Maharashtra said he understood satire but had a limit to anything.
