Innocent in the cracks of hunger, fear and death ... heart will cry after seeing pictures of children coming from the streets of Gaza
The special envoy of US President Donald Trump, Steve Witchoff, reached Israel on Thursday to discuss the weakened human situation in Gaza. The death toll in Gaza waiting for food and other help is increasing. The US Presidential Office White House reported that Witchoff and US Ambassador Mike Hukabi will inspect the food distribution system in Gaza on Friday. Photos of malnutrition in the Gaza children are seen worldwide. The Gaza Ministry of Health said on Thursday that at least 91 Palestinians died in an attempt to get help over the past 24 hours, while more than 600 people were injured. On Wednesday, 54 people were killed while waiting for food at Zikim Crossroads in North Gaza. A sad warning from Gaza Strip shook the world. On August 1, the World Health Organization (WHO) said that Gaza has now reached the most dangerous phase of famine under the ‘Integrated Food Safety Classification’, where thousands of people are hungry every day. According to WHO, the people of Gaza now have nothing to eat. Many people have been hungry for a few days, some died due to weakness and stop limbs. The most worrying situation is of children who are victims of serious malnutrition and need immediately treatment to save their lives. In the midst of this terrible human tragedy, Gaza’s health system has also collapsed badly. The WHO said that there is such a great lack of medicine and fuel that the hospitals are now unable to care for the patients. The organization said special medical care and nutrition is needed for months to overcome malnutrition. But if there is no time, children may have to suffer permanent consequences such as interruptions, lifelong illnesses and death. The WHO said that now human aid – food items and medicine – should reach Gaza immediately and without any obstruction. The organization has called on Israel to help and work together to make the roads safe so that the lives of citizens can be saved. In addition, the WHO reiterated the question of ceasefire.
